Guest Expectations
Sound View is a shared place. These expectations help keep the site safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all. Upon arrival, please check with Sound View staff for any updates to expectations since your last visit.
Care for Others
Treat other guests and staff with respect.
Listen when others are speaking or giving instructions.
Encourage others and avoid behavior that is threatening, demeaning, or disruptive.
Respect other guests' rooms, lodging areas, belongings, and personal space.
Enter lodging or program areas assigned to another group only with permission.
Follow instructions from Sound View staff and your group leaders.
Care for Camp
Stay on designated trails and activity areas.
Pick up trash and help keep shared spaces clean.
Respect plants, wildlife, and natural habitats.
Take care of cabins, lodges, equipment, and other camp property.
Keep food in designated areas unless otherwise permitted. Food in sleeping areas can attract wildlife and pests.
Report damaged equipment or facilities to staff.
You may be responsible for repair or replacement costs when camp property is damaged through negligence, misuse, or intentional actions.
Care for Yourself
Dress appropriately for the weather and planned activities.
Arrive on time for scheduled programs and meals.
Stay with your group when required.
Clean up after yourself.
Get adequate rest and follow designated quiet hours.
Communicate honestly with staff or group leaders when you need help or have a concern.
General Policies
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM.
Cars: Any driving should be limited and must follow the speed limit of 5 mph. Please park only in designated parking areas.
Illegal drugs are prohibited.
Weapons, including firearms, knives intended as weapons, explosives, and other dangerous weapons, are not permitted on camp property.
Alcohol policies vary by program or group agreement. Guests and group leaders are responsible for following the requirements provided for their specific reservation or program.
Sound View is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Children and youth must remain appropriately supervised according to their program, school, or group requirements.
Medication procedures vary by program.
