WHAM - February Snowshoe Trip
February 19 - 20, 2010 Age 18 to 100 Cost is $25 plus lodging and costs for the ski lift or Nordic Trails pass and rental of snowshoes. Our Wild Heart Adventure Ministry is offering a snowshoe retreat with 3 activity options. One option is a fairly strenuous snowshoe journey from the top of the ski lift to Hogback Ridge, high above the White Pass Ski Lodge. A second option is to snowshoe from the top of the ski lift down to the ski lodge. This is mostly downhill, and therefore less strenuous. A third option is to travel the Nordic Trails that are maintained by the White Pass Ski Lodge. You will want to bring: warm clothes (avoid cotton fabrics), snowshoes (can rent at the pass), snowboard or skis if desired (can rent at the pass), a day-pack, and containers for plenty of water/liquids. High School Leadership Retreat
March 5 - 7, 2010 Grades 9 - 12 $50 Sound View's Mission is to be a place where people learn to put God's Kingdom first. As part of that we believe it is important to help build up strong Christ-like leaders in our community. We have spent a lot of time and energy putting together a powerful retreat that will focus on training high school students who wish to be better leaders. If you or someone you know fits that description, consider this opportunity to learn and grow. Teaching and experiential learning opportunities will be based on research found in popular leadership books, the experiences of our facilitators and instructors, and on our ultimate leadership example Jesus Christ. Although we will take some time to enjoy each other and the wonderful recreation opportunities that Sound View offers, this weekend will NOT primarily be a play retreat, so please only come if you are ready to roll your sleeves up and do some tough leadership work!

Challenge Course Facilitator Training
March 26 - 28, 2010 Age 16 - 100 $50 Please come out for a weekend intensive Challenge Course Facilitator Training. We will be going deep in how to be genuine in relating to other facilitators and the group. We will also be covering technical stuff involved in our challenge course. New things and philosophies are on the course to go over so please come if you have been facilitating for Sound View already. New facilitators are of course welcome so we encourage all you veterans to invite people you think would benefit themselves and Sound View as a facilitator. Of course this will be a fun time, but make no mistake this will push your growth zone mentally, emotionally, and physically. Remember that we all have a different 100%. So all we ask is that you come prepared to give yours. There will be a test on Sunday, but do not fear all those who fear tests it is more to make sure you understand everything and fill in or review anything you may need help on.

Facilitator Refresher Course
June 16 - 17, 2010 Age 16 - 100 $20 All facilitators and or summer staff (for 2010) are invited to come out for a one night and one day Challenge Course refresher before the busy summer begins at Sound View. We will go over technical stuff as well as go pretty deep in soft skills and how to be genuine when facilitating. New facilitators are welcome. 2010 Summer Staff Facilitators attending this course are welcome to spend the night on the 17th for an intensive application training session for summer camp - No cost for 2010 Summer Staff!
