Wild Heart Adventure Ministry is the new Sound View program that includes the summer adventure/expedition trip for youth who have finished grades 6-12. Join us for another great week of hiking, canoeing and whitewater rafting in the famous Columbia River Gorge east of Portland. Those who have been with us in the past will remember the great food and fellowship, as well as the outdoor adventures that go from mild to wild. What could be better than a hike through a beautiful Oregon forest or a plunge over challenging Husum Falls? Truly this will be a week to remember.
This will be a mixture of family camp and expeditions. We will take an incredible paddle around the South Puget Sound. Sign up as a family or as an individual (note: Under grade 9 needs accompanying adult, under age 5 not recommended). Learn good canoeing, see incredible views, challenge yourself. Our experienced guides will lead you by water during the day, and in games, worship, and teaching about God during the evenings.
Come fellowship and face adventure with other adults who love God, love the outdoors, and love great food! We will stay at Packwood church, and spend Saturday rafting the Tieton. All year they save water in a reservoir for eastern Washington’s fields. When fall comes, the excess must go, so the humble Tieton turns into a roaring string of rapids that will keep you on your toes, and smiling like a kid at Christmas all the way down!
