If you are looking into working at a Christian camp, you will find that on paper we all look very similar. Most camps have a strong mission statement, fun camp activities, and some sort of fun friendly environment that they try to convey.
Something that is important to be aware of is the spirit of the camp itself on a day to day level. How does it function, what priorities are stressed, what makes it unique. One of the biggest factors that makes a camp unique is its staff. Each individual's beliefs, priorities, motives... in fact their own spirit. The spirit of a camp is the most useful thing to know before applying, and the hardest to discover. Unless you have been a part of the staff before, it is hard to understand how these factors play together. Here are some questions that you might find helpful in your job search, and that we would be glad to answer for you: If you ask any ten Christians, "What is Christianity, really?" you're likely to get at least three different answers. What's the answer at Sound View?
