We have a week to go until #GivingTuesday - when we end our forty-day capital campaign.
I am so very thankful to the hundreds of donors who have given to this, and to other causes so crucial to Sound View Camp. Many folks have given faithfully and enthusiastically for years - with the realization that camp has changed their life, their kids’ lives. and should continue to do so.
Generous parents, grandparents, church members, board members, staff and alumni have given to maintain Max’s Garden, feed the animals, send kids to camp, and help with all of the other expenses associated with a caring, important ministry. As the director, I am forever amazed at this level of support and humbly grateful for those who give so willingly.
Our little community at Sound View changes as guests are absorbed into our daily offerings. Right now, our community consists of the year-round staff and an AmeriCorps NCCC team working hard during these slower months to improve the facility, especially strengthening the attitude of “Earth Care” which we can pass on to kids and families coming in the spring. I am always reminding the team at hand of the generosity of those who support camp.
Thank you so much for keeping this amazing camp vibrant, scared, wondrous, and relevant for future generations.
